Reflection: Goals for January 2020

Here we are at the end of the what felt like an incredibly long month. January 31st is finally here, and I want to take a few moments to share with you my goals for this past month and how I did as far as achieving them.

I would like you to keep in mind that I started this a little late, I began this goal sheet on January 8th, so I was already about a week behind. Although, that did not affect much of the progress that I made too greatly.

Without saying much more, pictured below is the list of goals that I set out to accomplish in January of 2020.

Pretty optimistic, am I right?

I know that this may not seem like huge goals to everyone, but to a person that is just starting out. This is a good building block to launch from, in my opinion.

Now, I want to go through each item on the list and see how well I did with accomplishing them.

Goal #1: Grow Facebook Page to 50 likes

I really cut this one close here.

Pictured below is how I did regarding growing my Facebook page in January.

Not too bad actually.

I didn’t realize that I started the page on January 19, so this is quite a good amount of growth in a short period of time.

Most of this growth stems from me running a Facebook Ad for the first few days of the page opening and the rest is probably from me inviting friends from my personal page.

As the page grows, my hope is that it will begin to snowball and create an inflow of followers a month.

Goal #2: Publish 10 Blog Posts

In contradiction to the screenshot below, I actually have 15 blog posts now. (I didn’t think I would do so many between the time I took the screenshot and now!)

But I am proud of what I have done regarding being consistent with uploading content.

My whole purpose is to try to provide value to you as a reader, in order to help you make better financial decisions regarding your future.

Goal #3: Make $1 via Ad Revenue

Although the purpose of this blog is not to make money, it feels good to be compensated for your time.

Below is a screenshot of how rich January made me with ad revenue.

an entire $0.09 of revenue (BIG BALLER ALERT)

Now I will make sure to use some of my own advice and not spend all the “moo-lah” in one place.

But in all seriousness, I felt that this would be one of the harder goals to accomplish as a new blogger, and I am just happy that there isn’t a big goose egg in the revenue column.

It’s only up from here!

Other Goals: Begin Making Content for Trading Academy

One of my goals is to teach people how to make money by day trading.

In order to do that, I want to set up an online course-like product that I can use to provide an organize overlay of content.

I believe this would appeal to people who like seeing all of the things in one place in an easy to follow format, although all of the topics that I discuss will be made available on this blog for free (albeit less organized).

With that being said, I believe that I have done well with achieving most of the goals that I have on the list.

Now it is time to buckle in and get ready for an entire new sets of goals for February.

February Goals: 2020

Now let’s work on crossing these off the list, one day at a time!
