What a time to be alive.
We have done it! We have our own website!
I know that this is not the end goal by any means, however, I do feel like it is a huge accomplishment for us here at The Centennial Investor and all of you that come by to read our content.
Less than a week ago, we were at $0 online, starting from ground zero essentially, and now we’ve made enough to proudly call ourselves “centennialinvestor.com”. Not centennialinvestor.wordpress.com haha, but centennialinvestor.com
Here is how we did it.
Amazon Mechanical Turk
Basically, this is where all of my money came from to fund getting the domain name and everything else.
Amazon Mechanical Turk (MTurk) is a crowdsourcing Internet marketplace enabling individuals and businesses (known as Requesters) to coordinate the use of human intelligence to perform tasks that computers are currently unable to do. It is one of the sites of Amazon Web Services and is owned by Amazon.
If you want to learn more about exactly what Amazon Mechanical Turk is, then click the link below.
However, just to give you guys an idea… it’s just a site where we do a few mindless tasks a day like translate videos in order to get paid for it. You usually $.10 to $.25 each, but it adds up. As shown below.
My experience with mTurk has been fairly positive. You work on your own time and you can get as much or as little as you want out of it.
At a later date, we will go in depth on how to use mTurk to pay for $50 worth of monthly bills!
