Welcome to the Centennial Investor!

If you are reading this, congratulations, you have already done more to reach financial freedom than 97% of Americans today. I truly believe that every journey starts with a single step and that step for you is now.

My purpose here is to guide you through my own experiences to a place where you can be financially free. This could mean plenty of things… to some, it is being able to buy a fancier car or go on an extra vacation every year, but to others, it means that you never have to work for money again for the rest of your life.

I want to show you how you, at any age and at any income bracket, can reach financial freedom in the shortest amount of time possible. I will be going through multiple investing techniques, and some trial and errors, with the end goal of being as transparent as possible so that you can draw as much actionable information from this blog as possible.

The Centennial Investor can be all of us at once. It is simply an idea that I have adopted of transforming the common thought process of retiring in our 60’s into retiring early in our 20’s and 30’s. I want to show you how to get more out of your money. More out of your time. More out of your life. Together, anything can be achieved.

Let’s start our journey to financial freedom.

Hi, the Centennial Investor here. Or should I say my actual name, Anfernee McLemore. I want to take a moment and tell you a little more about me so that you can have a better understanding of my financial background and investing experience.

I began my financial freedom journey in 2018, by accident in fact. I was an accounting major at Auburn University on an outstanding scholarship with about $15,000 in credit card debt. After a short internship in the accounting field, I changed majors to finance, graduated, and currently am completing my Master’s of Finance.

Then there came a point in my life that I like to refer to as “the day of reckoning,” where I became simply disgusted with the idea of having to work hard for 40+ years in order to maybe retire by the time I’m 65. I was certain that there was a better way to build wealth than the traditional employer-sponsored 401(k).

This led me to researching ways to become financially independent from having a job so that I could then I could seek income in a field that I was truly passionate about if I wanted to. I am still on my journey. I am still finding new ways to make money online, new ways to invest my capital, and new ways to teach others how to begin their journeys to being financially free as well.

So, there’s my story. Are you ready to get started on yours?
